This is Shwedagon Pagoda, incredible mass contains over sixty tons of gold, more than is housed in the Bank of England (In 1813). The great American missionary Adoniram Judson and his wife Ann came to Burma on July 13, 1813. The object of coming to Burma was not to gain wealth, because he was citizen of wealthy country. His main task was to preach good news to Burmans, consequently U Naw was the first Burman convert. In 1827, Judson shifted to Moulmein, and proceeded with his missionary work. He carried on Christ’s great commission among Burmans, Kachins, Karens and Kayah. Due to the legacy left by Judson, American began sending missionaries in 1871. From then until the centennial thirty-nine high schools were established and scores of primary schools, with Judson College as one of the show pieces. When it began in 1872 as Rangoon College, it was a middle and high school, and then with the addition of a bachelor’s degree in 1920, it became Judson College and a constituent part of the University of Rangoon. While ministering in Burma on Friday, April 12, 1850, Judson’s golden evening had changed to the infinitely greater illumination of heaven. His golden shore was now a glorious relative. His death left the souls of his companions forlorn. In 1855, ninety persons embraced Christianity, Nowadays; over four millions believers have been converted.
This is the picture of Pontific, Pius XII (name Eugenio Panceli), (1876-1958), Pope of (1939-58). On July 10th 1943 allied invasion of Sicily, lead to the down fall of Mussolina on the 25th July and Fascist Party was dissolved. Pope Pius (XII) then wrote an important letter to the President of U.S.A Frankin D.Roosevelt, appealing him not to bomb Rome. That letter was a secret letter which was found after (60) years at the American Catholic Society, the head quarter of Columbus Hero’s archive. In 1955, the noble Pontifex invited U A Mya Lay head of the Kayah council, Kayah State, Burma, to the Vatican City. When U A Mya Lay arrived in Vatican City, Pontifex awarded him a coin placed in a casket and state vestment. The picture on the righty shows U A Mya Lay with his vestment. The Pontifex’s purpose of giving the coin to U A Mya Lay was for his movement of “Christian Unity.” He had passed away in 1983, and the coin is in the hands of his grandson. Dr Sai Tin Maung Win, who has been evangelizing in Shan and Kayah States, has a closely contact with U A Mya Lay’s grandson. The title of his evangelizing is named as sower and harvester. The objects are:-(1) Spreading the gospel to outreach areas. (2) Orphanage for orphans who are yearning for parent’s love. (3) Book minister: - Translation of spiritual books in Shan and Myanmar languages and distribute to those whose souls are hungry for savoir, inviting those who have hearts to sow and harvest in Shan State.
